Aidan Warrington, president and founder of Alliance Refuse Trucks (Gilbert, AZ), passed in his sleep Sept. 9, 2015. He was 62. Aidan was born and educated in the United Kingdom, and began his career as an apprentice engineering draftsman in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. He started his own business in England at the age of 26, which allowed him to travel the world. Aidan played rugby as a young man, which remained a lifelong passion. In 1990 he left the UK and moved to Dubai where he operated a construction crane business.
In 2000 Aidan moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he began his career in the waste industry with Heil Environmental. In 2005 he and partner Keith Alexander started Alliance Refuse Trucks, which has grown into the largest private rebuilder of garbage trucks in North America. 鈥淲e have lost our leader, friend, partner, husband, father, grandfather and community supporter,鈥 Keith said. 鈥淗e touched many people with his wit and charm, and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.鈥

I personally knew and worked with Aidan for more than 13 years, and I feel we have lost one of the kindest and gentlest men that I have had 聽the privilege to know.鈥
Aidan is survived by his wife, Karie, daughters Anna and Lucy, Shelby, Leah and son Dillon, and five grandchildren.
