Despite media reports, recycling and the use of PCR is growing: across all packaging materials, we’ve seen increased recycling capacity, increased use of PCR demand, and more efforts to recycle and use recycled content. AMERIPEN’s 2021 study on PCR goals, supply, and capacity proved to be an invaluable resource for organizations across the packaging value chain – to further support our members’ sustainability and advocacy efforts, AMERIPEN and Recycling Is Real have engaged with Circular Matters to update and expand the data covered in the initial study.

Prepared by Circular Matters and funded by Recycling Is Real, the study highlights the significant progress being made by consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies toward recycled content goals while also exploring critical gaps in infrastructure, collection systems, and supply that must be addressed to meet targets. This new study is now publicly available for individuals and organizations to use in their sustainability efforts. We hope this resource supports your efforts to advance sustainability and drive practical solutions across the packaging value chain.

Thank you to all who joined us for our recent member-exclusive webinar! For AMERIPEN members, the webinar recording and slide deck are now available for download.
