Area Disposal Service, Inc. (AREA庐) has acquired Shaw Disposal, Inc. in Lewistown, IL. Shaw is a family-owned business with more than 1,000 residential and commercial customers in Fulton County. Bob Shaw鈥檚 family had been in the solid waste business for decades. Shaw鈥檚 business reputation in Fulton County was based on good customer service. 鈥淭his acquisition aligns strategically with our goal to increase market presence in Fulton County. Our family-owned business has been in a growth mode for several years. We find it is a great fit when another family business is folded into our family鈥檚 company. Shaw will operate out of our Wigand Disposal operation based in Chillicothe,鈥� said AREA庐 Vice President, Matt Coulter.
