Tough Stuff Recycling celebrated the MassRecycle 2025 Award Winners, as a Silver Sponsor, at the 30th Annual MassRecycle Fall Social and Awards Celebration at the Wachusett Mountain Ski Area. 鈥淲e were honored to help recognize and appreciate all the amazing work done by individuals, companies and communities in the Commonwealth,鈥 said Mary Horsman, Northeast Manager of Sales and Marketing of Tough Stuff Recycling. 鈥淭his Fall Social and Awards Celebration highlighted what is possible with commitment and collaboration.鈥

This year鈥檚 Award Winners included Spoonfuls, a nonprofit who has saved over forty million pounds of food from being wasted in the last fifteen years. Also recognized were Amherst College, Chris Sullivan from the City of Lowell, Green Day Recycling, Representative Kate Hogan, Travis Weigle from the Town of Great Barrington and the Town of Bedford.

In the volunteer category, Nancy Bobskill and The Agawam Zero Waste Club were celebrated.聽Nancy noted that in addition to diverting clothes and toys from the landfill and making reuse a normal practice for kids, their efforts have helped create a community that cares about each other.

Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Susan Cascino and Libby Levison. Susan encouraged us to, 鈥淧lease remember how important your work is.鈥

At Tough Stuff Recycling, we are working to keep mattresses and box spring鈥檚 out of the landfill and support waste reduction efforts across Massachusetts. The MassRecycle community is a perfect place to connect and collaborate so we can have the greatest impact in the coming months and years.
