In a unanimous vote, the Keller City Council awarded CWD a five-year renewal contract valued at more than 15 million dollars. Mayor Mark Mathews summarized by saying, 鈥淢r. Roemer, thank you for being here tonight. Thank you for the community service you do for Keller, you support us in a lot of ways.鈥
After an extensive proposal process that included bids from Waste Management and Republic Waste, the city concluded that the best partnership for Kelley is locally owned and operated CWD. CWD President Greg Roemer reports, 鈥淚n 2014, CWD sponsored over 15 events in the City of Keller. None of these are required by the contract, they simply represent our commitment to be involved in the cities we serve.鈥
