Back by popular demand, the South East Kansas Recycling Center in Pittsburg has reopened 鈥� ready to take waste items, at a limited capacity. The center聽closed聽just last month due to a lack of funding, but through many donations from city residents, is now operational Fridays and Saturdays.
鈥淚t was a lot of small donations, hundreds of small donations. A historic surge for us,鈥� said Perricone. Cassandra聽Steinbrook, the center鈥檚 Operations Manager says she鈥檚 touched by the outpouring of support they鈥檝e received聽from the community.
