Corporate eWaste Solutions (CEWS), a leading provider of certified electronics recycling and IT asset disposition services (ITAD), has been honored with two prestigious industry awards recognizing the company’s environmental leadership and community impact. CEWS received the California Resource Recovery Association’s (CRRA) Outstanding Universal and Recycling Award and Mobile Disrupt’s Community Impact Award, highlighting the company’s comprehensive approach to sustainability and social responsibility.
“Receiving recognition from both CRRA and Mobile Disrupt validates our holistic approach to environmental stewardship,” said Eric Chu, founder and CEO of CEWS. “These awards reflect our commitment to not only protecting the environment through responsible recycling practices but also addressing digital equity through our community-focused initiatives.”
The CRRA Outstanding Universal and Recycling Award recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in resource recovery and recycling innovation. Each year, CRRA presents awards to individuals and organizations who go above and beyond in their efforts to prevent waste, reuse materials, recycle, compost, buy recycled and build “green.”
CEWS’s selection highlights the company’s role as an industry leader in comprehensive ITAD and secure data destruction services. Since its founding in 2016, CEWS has established itself as a comprehensive sustainability partner, maintaining R2v3 and ISO certifications while processing over 200 truckloads of electronic waste monthly across 400,000 square feet of facilities. The company processes over 70 million pounds of e-waste annually, demonstrating significant environmental impact through its operations.
Mobile Disrupt’s Community Impact Award recognizes CEWS’s Tech for Good program, which addresses the digital divide by providing refurbished technology to underserved communities. Through this initiative, CEWS has refurbished and donated over 3,000 laptops to low-income families, students, and underserved communities, ensuring access to education, job opportunities, and essential digital tools. The Tech for Good program exemplifies CEWS’s circular economy approach, extending the lifecycle of electronics while creating measurable social impact. By refurbishing devices that would otherwise become e-waste, the program simultaneously addresses environmental and social challenges.
Beyond the Tech for Good initiative, CEWS demonstrates ongoing community commitment through partnerships with organizations including the SuperCharlie Foundation and CIO Scholarship Fund, creating lasting social change while promoting sustainability education and workforce development.
“Our success is built on innovative problem-solving and a genuine commitment to making both an environmental and social difference every day,” added Chu. “These recognitions validate our approach of combining cutting-edge technology with ethical business practices to create comprehensive sustainable solutions.”
