Covanta, providing sustainable waste and energy solutions, announces聽that its subsidiary, Covanta Environmental Solutions, has acquired a material processing facility in Augusta, GA from US Ecology, Inc. The facility provides non-hazardous waste solidification, shredding, water treatment and transportation services to commercial and industrial customers. The acquisition will expand Covanta鈥檚 existing network in the Southeast, complementing Covanta-operated Energy-from-Waste facilities in Florida and Alabama, as well as the company鈥檚 material processing facilities in North Carolina.
