The Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF) has expanded its comprehensive PFAS literature review to include more than 1,500 resources, providing waste industry professionals with a catalog of peer-reviewed research and technical reports. The expanded review also features a curated list of 22 key resources, as well as a collection of national and state agencies and organizations focused on PFAS.

PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) remain a critical challenge in materials management, with regulatory changes, treatment technologies, and landfill leachate concerns evolving rapidly. EREF鈥檚 literature review serves as a key resource for researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders seeking data-driven insights into PFAS and its environmental impact, synthesis and detection, and treatment strategies.

By broadening and updating this literature review, EREF aims to bridge knowledge gaps and provide clarity on PFAS challenges impacting passive receivers. This effort advances the state of science and ensures free access to the latest findings on these forever chemicals.
