Geared for GREEN announces that it has joined the Flexible Film Recycling Alliance (FFRA), an initiative of the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) dedicated to increasing the recycling of flexible plastic films through enhanced education, improved access, and greater consumer confidence.
By joining FFRA, Geared for GREEN strengthens its commitment to sustainability and circularity, working alongside industry partners to expand recycling opportunities for plastic films, including bags, wraps, and other polyethylene materials.
“Our company is dedicated to advancing plastics circularity by innovating beyond linear, transactional recycling and creating untapped supply chain value via the circular economy. Joining the Flexible Film Recycling Alliance is a natural step in our efforts to support and improve plastic film recycling,” said Daniel Schrager, Chief Executive Officer at Geared for GREEN. “Collaboration across the value chain is essential to making recycling more accessible and profitable, and we are excited to contribute to FFRA’s important initiatives.”
Patrick Krieger, Senior Vice President of Sustainability and Policy at PLASTICS, welcomed Geared for GREEN’s involvement, stating, “FFRA’s mission is to drive real progress in plastic film recycling by increasing awareness, access, and confidence in recycling programs. The support of companies like Geared for GREEN is instrumental in achieving our goals and ensuring that more flexible plastics are successfully recycled.”
