The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) Board of Directors will consider the addition of new specifications for Rigid Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) Plastic Recyclables during its Fall Meeting on November 8. These specifications are intended to encompass more of the plastics recyclables that are actively trading in the scrap plastics marketplace.
The PVC specifications were approved by ISRI鈥檚 Plastics Division at the Spring Board & Committee Meetings in New Orleans on April 24, 2017.The聽new PVC Specifications are available for review.
At the Board of Directors meeting, the Board may choose to adopt, amend, or reject the recommendations of the Division or table them pending further review. There will be an open comment period for 30 days following the vote by the Board.
In addition, ISRI鈥檚 Plastics Division will consider specifications for flexible PVC when it meets on November 7. If passed, the specifications will be open for public comment prior to and after the Winter Board Meeting in January 2018.
