A well-known plastics recycling consultancy is being acquired by two long-time employees and being renamed.
Co-founders Patty Moore and Doug McDowell of Moore Recycling Associates Inc. are handing over control of the firm to employees Nina Bellucci Butler and Stacey Luddy.
Butler becomes CEO, while Luddy is chief financial officer of the renamed More Recycling Associates. The new and similar name is a nod to the company鈥檚 history.
鈥淎s the next generation of Moore Recycling, we will continue to prioritize integrity and thought-leadership while pushing innovations in technology and information analysis that facilitate the greater expansion of sustainable materials management,鈥� Butler said in a statement.
Moore and McDowell will continue to operate Sustainable Materials Management of California, a company that manages recycling trade associations, including Plastic Recycling Corp. of California.
鈥淲hile I will continue to support More Recycling and SMM of CA, I will do so while working far less. It has been a fun and fruitful 30+ years, and I鈥檓 happily moving on to let the next generation step up,鈥� Moore said in a statement.
