KVI USA has multiple openings for Commissioning Engineer in Knoxville, TN, to develop and implement process automation systems to support the commissioning of KVI renewable gas facilities around the U.S., including Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plants and Gas Upgrader Plants. Requires four years of FT experience in continuous process plant automation system design and implementation, to include: renewable Biomethane production technology, start up / commissioning, integrating multivendor packages, designing / integrating remote access strategies, developing electrical bill of materials, powering up electrical systems and configuring hardware, design / implement control system architecture, etc. Also requires advanced knowledge of: automation concepts / software and hardware platforms (ABB, Emerson, Honeywell, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Valmet); operation, function and construction for gas plant facilities, power plant, anaerobic digestion plants, etc; Microsoft suite applications; Visualization systems for the control environments (Factory Talk View, Wonderware, WinCC, Intellution, etc.); multiple process automation communications protocols (Controlnet, Devicenet, Ethernet, Ethernet IP, Modbus, Profibus, ProfiNET, ProfiSAFE); SIS and SIL rated systems and components; and process instruments, both in the application in standard and intrinsically safe environments. Must also be detail oriented and results driving, with strong communication skills, English fluency, and willingness to travel (~80-90%) to plant sites within North America and occasionally to headquarters in Europe for meeting / training.
