After 7 years of dedicated and productive work as president of MassRecycle, Gretchen Carey is passing the torch into the very capable hands of long-time board member Terri Goldberg. Terri previously led regional pollution prevention and waste reduction programs at NEWMOA for more than 32 years. She is ready to help MassRecycle grow and advance sustainable materials management policies and programs in Massachusetts.
Joining Terri at the helm will be new vice president Jessica Caban, who takes over from Waneta Trabert. Jessica works as the Assistant Project Manager of Recycling & Waste Enforcement for the City of New Bedford. She manages and contributes to evolving program compliance through outreach and engagement with diverse communities throughout New Bedford.
Gretchen and Waneta both remain members of the MassRecycle Board of Directors and will continue to host the MassRecycle podcast together. Waneta also continues as chair of the Massachusetts Product Stewardship Council (MassPSC).
