Michele Nestor, president of Nestor Resources Inc., will be the featured keynote speaker at the Federation of New York Solid Waste Associations’ Conference and Trade Show at The Sagamore on May 15 through the 18, 2016. In addition to her Plenary on industry trends, Nestor will join other nationally known speakers for a panel on the politics and practicalities that surround mixed waste processing programs. Nestor assists private and public sector organizations with strategic plans to survive in a transitioning marketplace and
will share her unique perspectives and expertise on our rapidly evolving industry. “Regardless of your role or responsibilities, you need to stay ahead of the curve or risk being stuck in the regulatory mindset of the 90’s watching your career pass you by. That’s why events like this are important,” says Nestor.
“We’re very pleased that Michele accepted our invitation to keynote at the Federation’s conference. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience firmly based in reality” said Meg Morris, Federation Chairperson. The conference begins Sunday evening with a BBQ buffet and opening of the Trade Show (featuring over 100 exhibitors) – followed by fireworks over Lake George. For the first time, the technical portion of the conference will kick off Sunday with a special workshop on Pay as You Throw. Last year, over 600 participants were registered from New York, other northeast states, Canada and Europe. Those who register by April 13th qualify for a free gift and registration discount.
