This past week, at WASTECON庐聽2016, NGVAmerica and the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) released a white paper for natural gas use in the waste and recycling industry,聽Natural Gas >> A Clean, Safe and Smart Choice for the Waste and Recycling Industry.

The white paper was a collaborative effort between NGVAmerica鈥檚 Technology & Development Committee and SWANA members.聽 The document provides the latest information used by fleets for safely operating and maintaining collection and transfer vehicles that run on clean-burning and affordable natural gas.聽 The paper also covers recommendations for operating and maintaining refueling equipment and maintenance facilities.

鈥淣atural gas is the clear alternative fuel of choice for waste and recycling fleets across the country,鈥 said Dan Bowerson, NGVAmerica Director of Technology and Development.聽 鈥淪afety is always the top priority for NGVAmerica members, and we appreciated the opportunity to develop this guide to safety and best practices of natural gas vehicles with our partners at SWANA.鈥
