Sustane Technologies and Pyrovac Inc. have entered into a long-term, strategic alliance that grants Sustane exclusive access to Pyrovac鈥檚 advanced reactor and related technology for waste plastic processing. The agreement marks a major milestone in scaling circular economy solutions in Canada and internationally.
The initial phase of the agreement includes a contract valued at over $7 million for a two-reactor upgrade and expansion at Sustane鈥檚 Chester, Nova Scotia facility. More significantly, the deal includes exclusive rights to Pyrovac鈥檚 proprietary technology for plastic feedstock, based on a compelling mutual growth model.
鈥淭his inter-provincial partnership is significant on several levels. We鈥檙e combining cutting-edge, made-in-Canada technology with 30 years of world-class research and innovation to materially reduce waste plastic and create real economic value. Pyrovac鈥檚 deep scientific credibility and process engineering excellence make them the ideal long-term collaborator as together we expand our footprint nationally and ultimately globally,鈥 commented Peter Vinall, CEO of Sustane Technologies.
Pyrovac, based in Quebec, has spent decades developing thermal decomposition technologies that transform industrial and forestry wastes into high-value outputs. This agreement represents the first commercial deployment of Pyrovac鈥檚 technology – within Sustane鈥檚 circular plastic process.
鈥淲e鈥檙e proud to align with Sustane, it is a company that not only shares our vision for a sustainable future but also has the operational readiness and scale to advance Pyrovac鈥檚 technology domestically and also internationally.鈥 stated Christian Roy, Founder and President of Pyrovac Inc. 鈥淭ogether, we鈥檙e building a foundation for a new kind of materials economy.鈥
