SWANA is pleased to announce that its 2017 Grant H. Flint Scholarship Awards Program, established to promote education and professional development for the upcoming workforce, is open for submissions. Initiated by SWANA鈥檚 Chapter Scholarship Committees, the Scholarship Program offers 3 awards categories for students of varying academic levels 鈥� Category I, Category II, and the Robert P. Stearns/ SCS Engineers Scholarship Award. Each award category has a different monetary scholarship amount.
鈥淭he commitment that SWANA and its members have for the Scholarship Awards Program is commendable,鈥� stated Darryl Walter, SWANA鈥檚 Director of Membership. 鈥淭his is one more way that SWANA is contributing to cultivating the next generation of professionals.鈥�
Eligible candidates for the Scholarship Program must be sons, daughters, grandsons or granddaughters of a SWANA Member (sponsor), or SWANA Student Members.
In 2017, SWANA is offering free membership for full-time undergraduate and graduate college students, further showing the association鈥檚 commitment to the industry鈥檚 future workforce in the United States and Canada.
The deadline for submitting application materials for the 2017 Scholarship Program is May 1, 2017; International Scholarship Winners will be announced on August 1, 2017.
