The annual Tennessee Sustainability Conference is scheduled to take place Aug. 20-22 at the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg, Tenn. The conference is a partnership between Tennessee Recycling Coalition, Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Tennessee Environmental Conference, and brings together environmental professionals from across the region.

Top environmentalists will offer a range of sessions, panel discussions, workshops and training classes. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about new technologies, regulations, environmental safety, and case studies impacting the way natural resources are managed. Peer to peer networking, as well as conducting business in the popular exhibitor area, are highlights of the gathering. Most importantly, key sessions will explore solutions and best practices for managing environmental sustainability.
Additionally, Tennessee Mayors will gather for the 5th annual Mayor鈥檚 Retreat Aug. 21, to gain resources, share in conversation, and collaborate for solutions. The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation will provide information and updates on various programs, including Brownfield Grants, Used Tires, the 2035 Solid Waste Plan, and more.
