Waste Industries is excited to announce that they are a recipient of a 2017 fleet award. The award recognized Waste Industries for its effort in the vocational category to actively market its investment in compressed natural gas(cng) to win more business from the residential and commercial customers it serves.
The fleet awards, are part of Fleet Owner, a magazine dedicated to the trucking industry. The trophies are awarded to organizations for their focus on innovation, safety, and excellence. 聽This year鈥檚 event took place at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Musuem in Nashville, TX with co-sponsor WIX Filters.
Waste Industries is a regional provider of non-hazardous solid waste collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal services. The company currently operates in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware. In addition to its solid waste services business, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, Black Creek Renewable Energy, LLC operates its landfill-gas-to-energy plant adjacent to the company鈥檚 Sampson County, N.C. landfill. Current power generation is sufficient to supply electricity to approximately 10,000 households.
